We all spend so much of our lives in the kitchen today and so much of that time we seem to spend on our feet. That is why a kitchen breakfast bar is a great way not only to give yourself more work-top space, but at a great working height as well. Add to this a great set of kitchen stools and you will soon be resting those weary feet. Your work surface does not have to cost the earth and will be at a height that will suit the other work surfaces in your kitchen.
Get The Right Height
When searching for stools you will first need to work out the correct height stool for your breakfast bar. Get a tape measure and measure from the floor to the bottom of your breakfast bar. You will want to leave about twelve inches or thirty centimetres gap between the top of your stool and the underneath of your bar for your legs. There are height adjustable stools available but ensure they can adjust to your required height.
How Many And How Much
Then you need to decide your budget and how many stools you require. Don't buy cheap bar stools and find you have too many to store. Calculate how many you can get underneath your breakfast bar as it will stop you walking into them when not being used. Conversely make sure you buy enough stools for what you need. If you are working on a tight budget then you could buy a few and then add to them later. Although you do lead the risk that the stools you have go out of stock, or even worse production. Matching stools is a preference as it will make your kitchen look well thought out and designed.
Now you are ready to search for your perfect breakfast bar stool. Richard has enjoyed researching about bar stools. My only advice is don't buy cheap breakfast bar stools as you want your stools to last and you will probably use them every day.
